You will get hands-on-practice in grinding the beans to different grind sizes and, of course, preparing coffee. We will touch the importance of water quality and temperature as well as extraction time. You will learn to prepare coffee using the following methods:

  • Pour over method using the Chemex and Hario V60
  • Immersion method using the French Press
  • Immersion + pressure brewing using the Aeropress

You will deepen your knowledge about manual brewing methods and the interrelation between roast grade, grind size, water temperature and extraction time. You will add cold brew methods to your arsenal and start your dive down the rabbit hole of espresso brewing. In this course, you will be using the following coffee makers and machines:

  • Immersion + pressure brewing using the Mokkapot
  • Cold brew method using the Hario Water Dripper

Espresso Macchiato
